Streets & Trips

Any chance on getting the data files for Streets & Trips updated? The program has changed significantly since 2004. Trying to convert the data file to 2008 hung the program.

Hi folks!  Sorry to bump up an old thread but when I tried to upload the RoadfoodTemplate.stt file to Streets & Trips 2013, I received a message saying, "the file was created with an older version of the map which is no longer supported."  Anything I can do at this end to fix that?

Just discovered this site ahead of a coast-to-coast vacation that starts in five days.  Fantastic!  Cheers...

Welcome to Roadfood!  You definitely came to the proper site to find the best local eats for your journey.  When your trip is completed, any chance you could post about where you went and what you ate?

I know that this is hard for most members to understand, but there are a lot of places that the online alternatives do  not serve.  I can drive for hours without having any kind of internet signal available in large areas of the state.  Plus, S&T has pretty good trip planning tools without being online, as well.  If I'm just going from A to B, and have connectivity, then online is great.  Other times, not so much.

Thanks buffetbuster!  I'm heading from north of Toronto out to the west coast of Canada and back through the US.  I'll definitely post some trip and food information!

I agree with MGWerks, here in the hills there is a lot of NO signal.  I've using S&T since the beta days and really like it.

Haven't used Streets and Trips in a while, but did you try uploading the *.csv version? I know in the past you could upload csv data to Streets and Trips.

    Worth a shot.

Still enjoy using Streets and Trips, as we have for years!
There are many improvements I would still like to see, but we have yet to find a better offline mapping program for our vintage vehicle cross country road trips.

I prefer offline trip planners as they don't depend on finding/waiting for cell/internet signal and save also the associated mobile data expense. We use a simple USB GPS antenna plugged into a laptop that lets us quickly/easily plot alternative routes with reasonable expectations for ETA etc. S&T also gives us good estimates on fuel costs (a big factor in our older vintage vehicles) plus it's a pretty good reference to various points of interest without all the clutter introduced by web-based searches.  I find when we're on the web that there are too many distractions.

Still, I'd love to find any updated maps, plans, etc. to share for Streets & Trips 2013.
If anyone has a download links, please post them here!

Anyone have any luck with this? Got it to open on 2008. But when I try and open in 2011 or 2013 i get the error.
Has anyone managed to convert it to 2013 and would be willing to send it?
