Stuffed my face in Steamboat Springs

Just got back from my annual trip to Steamboat Springs Colorado. By the third night there I only made it through half my entrée…I was an eating machine. Top honors again go to The Butcher shop. I had the prime rib one night and the Buffalo another night. Great salad bar, the best French onion soup, and piece of cheese cake big enough for two. A+ service as well. Best fajitas go to the La Montana, nice elk served rare. They also served up a great chowder with bacon & mushrooms among other things. I had several lunches at the Smoke House, very good brisket and pulled pork. They have nice big frosty mugs for your beer. Several other lunches were spent at The Tap House. They have my favorite spicy wings and served up a great patty melt. If you looking for burgers and beers that’s your spot. The Canton Chinese restaurant was nice and they let you change your spice level. Very friendly service. I picked up a sub at Winona’s for “second lunch” as I was traveling Hobbit style. Best sub I’d had in a long time. They’ve got some killer looking deserts. The penne at Mazola’s was excellent. It had 3 or 4 kinds of meat with sauce and was covered in cheese. They also gave you some crusty French bread along with some sort of garlic oil pumis for spreading. Oh yeah, I also got some skiing in.
