They still do. And even the tuna salad is put on the sandwich in a specific size scoop. It's not that the amount of meat varies, but that corporate has told them to use less meat. Oops. Sorry I misfiled my last post. Anyway, the 2 Subways near to where I work and live no longer have their meats divided into pre-wrapped packages, they have all the ingredients open on the sandwich board. But to be fair, I would probably go to the one near work again for the 6" tuna special on Fridays because they'll tell me which type of bread is the freshest and their tuna IS pretty good. (But only if I forget to bring lunch). That said...I don't mind Subway that much. It's easy to see what I'm getting, it's usually fairly fast, and it's a change from eating yet another burger and fries. It's not my first choice (based on price alone...I can eat there for the same amount I can eat at all the other overpriced restaurants downtown, and most of them are local and better), but it isn't awful. I see no more point in complaining about Subway than I do any other chain. I mean, it's not like you don't know what you're getting when you go there, so it's pretty much your own fault if what you get isn't what you want or like.

Yessir. We sell Vienna dogs, hot dog buns, Polish, Italian sausage and beef, meatballs, Supreme tamales and brats. I know Vienna doesn't make it all, but they have it made for them and distribute it, and then we get it through our Vienna distributor (Sparta Imports). So I'd say that makes us a "Vienna Joint."
Oh, OK. I've never heard the term before. I had visions of a "joint" selling cans of Vienna sausage.

IMo...I would rather someone NOT prepare it in front of me, so long as it actually had some meat in it!! They are way skimpy on their meat portions, and that is what this topic is about!!

Re the skimping on the meat, the Subway in my town does this while the one in the town over does not and there's a huge difference in the subs. The one that doesn't skimp is in a gas station/convenience food place and the one here that does skimp is its own store. I'm not going to drive to the next town to go to Subway, but I don't mind stopping there if I'm in that town. But the one here "NO".
