Summertime Eats in CT, Chapter 28 Thu, 09/25/08 8:48 AM (permalink)
Today's Roadfood Digest article is about Fred's Brickhouse in Willimantic. I've often felt that it should be reviewed on this website.

This is a place that I frequented a lot while at college. Before they attained a liquor license, it was BYOB, and we would go there on a Friday night and take full advanage of that.

I went to Eastern from 2000-2005. I always loved Plum Tomato, and loved it even more when it became Fred's Brick House. The Original Bull, in both pizza and flatbread sandwich was almost always my number one choice. It has grilled chicken, bacon, spinach, and a creamy garlic sauce. They also make a great sirloin chilli, and garlic fries. The wood fired wings also can't be beat.

I finally made it back there this summer when I went to the Mansfield Drive In. Ordered a half a "Bull" flatbread and garlic fries. The heartburn and indigestion were well worth it!
