Well said. In fact, when you think about it, the number of posts anyone makes on this site is likely inverse to the amount of time spent on a computer. Can't talk much about Roadfood experiences, if you haven't had Roadfood experiences ....

Wasting away again in Cheeseburgerville ... with apologies to Jimmy Buffet, or is that Jimmy's Buffet

Constantly referring to yourself as "The Sundancer" is another red flag. A tad pompous, dontcha think?

Joe, If you would check things out before you spoke, you would realize that Sundancers uses the name of his boat as his Roadfood name. Sundancer has some of the most interesting posts on Roadfood and I look forward to his opinions. Yours are not the kind of opinions that are the norm for our good Roadfood folks.

I think it's a real shame when people post on boards with the express purpose of causing trouble.
It's an indication of a sad, lonely existance (more so than lots of fruitful posting), when someone has nothing better to do with himself.
I see Joe as the type that has a bet going with his junior high school buddies to see how many boards he can get banned from. I think Joe's parents need to pay closer attention to what he's doing online.

The Joe's post remind me of posts that should be deleted. We do not encourage insulting others on these boards. We are a very nice group who respect the words and wisdom of others. We enjoy the names of our posters. The ChezKatie has now said enough.

Bushie's absolutely right. I mean, anyone who posts that much ... they should get out more. I don't know too much about this Sundancer, but I'll bet he spends most of his time on the porch in a rocking chair knitting red flags.

He can start a life by visiting our family..........hey there "the Sundancer".............how many crabcakes can you eat at one sitting and what is your adult beverage of choice?

Goodness. I hope my snipings (elsewhere on this site) at the Sundancer and Bushie haven't been offensive. If they were, perhaps I need to go out of my way and show people how offensive I can really be!

Joe, thanks again for noting your thoughts, I invite you to Knoxville, TN to enjoy a libation of your choice on my dock on the banks of the Tennessee River where I will demonstrate that I am not a computer captive.

I also invite you to further explore this site and I believe if you have an interest in roadfood, you will enjoy and can become an active and valuable participant.

I guess the use of Sundancer does seem a bit pompous, but it is a name that I have used for the last 30 years. Most of my friends call me that. Sorry that you did not like it but I believe I will continue to use it.

I wish the next level was money. I will assure you that the level of interest would increase exponentially.

Regardless, it is fun and even more fun meeting and talking with such nice and neat and interesting folks.

                                  Hey Sundancer:

I just replied on the grocery store topic about Belmont U.
It was fun to attend, but I hope the dining hall is better than it was ten years ago.
I lived on cereal and waffles and Circle K hot dogs for two years before I quit the meal plan.
The campus has almost totally changed.

I respectfully tip my mate's cap to The Sundancer. When first on this website I knew instantly the moniker Sundancer was in reference to a boat (being from a boating family myself) which affirms the fact that this person loves to have fun and knows how to relax. I have summer vacationed at my cousins home in the Knoxville/Oakridge Tennessee area and spent many hours sitting on their dock and boating with them on the Tennessee River. I enjoy thinking about them whenever I read The Sundancer's posts. I have looked forward to each of The Sundancer's submissions and would love to sit on his dock and share a libation (make my sweet tea) and some Tennessee grub anytime.

Hear! Hear! on reaching the lofty number 2,500+ posts. I'll have to celebrate in your honor when I get home tonight.

PattiAnn: The Sundancer resides at mile marker 641 on the east side of the Tennessee River. Feel free to drop by anytime. The sun always shines there, cable TV is always on and the libations whaterver your choice is available.

Thanks for the compliment and comments.

You know, if I wasn't a lady, I would probably respond with something like, " Come back when you grow a pair, son. " But since I have better manners than that, I will leave the pointless swipes at fellow posters to others

Congratulations on reaching Filet Mignon status to the Sundancer, who seems to be a fellow of many qualities, pomposity being not one of them

I've never known anyone who truly enjoys boating who is "pompous" ( is that how you spell it ). My most favorite times have been on and around boats, and being with my boating friends. To each his own, I know.
                                              Paul, I salute you.

                                                    Sundancer,

Congrats on the 2500 and retirement.

I am a NASCAR fan these days but I like all kinds of racing. I used to follow drag racing more as it was what we did in the Midwest. I know you run 2 cars. What classes do you run and what are the driver's names and sponser names?

Cakes The Sundancer runs two classes: Super gas and super comp. My brother and I own the teams and believe me we are small budget compared to the Bernsteins and the Force team. We run the national circuit starting in Pomona in February and ending in November.. Two years ago we won two divisions in Brainerd.

We are low budget but have fun and do reasonably well.

We are currently working on sponsorship for top alcohol whose speeds exceed 260MPH in the quarter and times in the 5 1/2 second runs.

I have enjoyed roadfood for several years making many acquaintances such as the Mayor, Bushie, Poverty Pete, Pogophiles and JiminKy who has mysteriously dissappeared. There is much to be gained on this site if you wish it. Some do and some don't. The Sundancer does:)

We have never missed an opportunity to toast to the Canadians the appreciation of the rye.

If you think 260MPH is fast, you ought to see top fuel and funny cars go at it at 335MPH. That is fast. We are slow by comparison.
