I'm surprised as I thought they were doing well in their new location. Of course I didn't see a word in any of the local papers. You would think a place that had been around that long would merit a column or two. We ate there a couple of times at the new location but never at the old. It seems the cafeteria concept may seeing it's end at least in Johnson City. The Piccadilly closed there a couple of years ago but still seems to do well in Kingsport.

I'm sorry to hear that Sunny's has closed. Just how many Sunny's were there? I know that the one I ate at wasn't the one photographed in the Stern's review, but was outside of town in a small shopping center.

I think there was only one location. The picture in the review is the old location. The new location was in downtown Johnson City, TN in a renovated building near the RR tracks.
