Super Bowl commercials.............

This years Super Bowl commercials were some of the absolute worst I have ever seen!!
What about that 1/2 time show?  Beyonce was a total joke and to think.........I wasted 5 minutes of my time watching her rubbish and I'll never get that time back.

couldn't disagree more. The Clydsdale commercial was touching, the Kia space babies commercial was funny, and a halftime show should be a big production and it was. Was is as good as Prince a few years back, or Michael Jackson 20 years ago? No, but it was a large production that hit the football target.

the farmer commercial was great. clysdale was good, liked the lucky chair bud light one. didn;t care for the half time show though. to much production, not enough good singing.

Nerd boy sucking face with the super model (or whatever she is) was pretty disgusting. Other than that, no problem with the show.

The folks at my table last night liked the Tide/Joe Montana ad--even though we're Niner fans, it totally made us laugh!  We also loved the Clydesdale and farmer ads, and I got a kick out of the GoPro camera ad.  No one in my group appreciated the Mercedes Benz ad.  Beyonce is fine for a song or two or on a video, but that type of dancing for the entire halftime was a bit much.

I liked the Audi add, and Clydsdale, some others, can't remember, hell, it was 18 hours ago!

Loved the Kia adds.  They need to bring back Shania for halftime.

Near as I can tell, everyone's issue with the halftime show was the talent chosen, not the production, no? I don't care for her, so I muted it and just watched the production. Of course, I'm biased since that's what I do for a living and I know the ungodly hours and manpower that went into it, but I thought it was excellent! On mute.

Tide was my favourite commercial, hands-down. Followed by the Doritos princesses commercial. The Budweiser clydesdale was pretty good, and as I've said elsewhere while I liked the whole Paul Harvey farmer commercial for what it was, it failed miserably for product recognition. Could've been for just about anything until the last three seconds, and most people I've talked to don't remember what it was for. Even those who do don't remember the product correctly.

I found myself laughing at several ads, but they weren't outstanding.

What happened to the Bud writers?

I only like one Beyonce song and was pleased that it was included. She can sure move but I don't care about that.  It needed more song.

And if that blackout lasted much longer, it would have been an 18 hour "game"  What a pity the network didn't take the opportunity to fill it up with other boring ads.....Not!

Yes. Actually, not exactly. I haven't worked on any of the movies shot here because they started too late and I'm too old to work that many hours at this point. My local is mixed, so I can hold my own in any department I'm assigned, but I'm a general stagehand with primary training in lighting and wardrobe, also programming and running our LED ribbon board.

Oh, and what the heck is up with the Beck's Sapphire, which has a ruby on the bottle? Did they hire a colorblind guy to pick the gem and nobody checked it before product launch? I don't remember a thing about the commercial, I was stuck on the red gem on a bottle labelled sapphire. I mean, yeah, there is such a thing, but then it's called a ruby.
