Superbowl Menu 2011

So this year in honor of the Steelers I think I am going to make Turkey Devonshire for the game. I've never had it but Buffetbuster has posted enough pictures of it to peak my interest. I usually try to make something relevant to a team or the location of the game. I did Primanti Bros style sandwiches once for the Steelers already so I need to try something new. I can't think of much for Green Bay other than brats, beer, and cheese. All things I enjoy but I try to make something with a few more steps involved as somethig to do during the never ending pre-game show. So any suggestions for other classic Pittsburgh or Wisconsin themed dishes. There are also a ton of options for the location but I think I'm going to go with the teams this year.

Since it's in Dallas, Texas Chili, Brisket, Jalapeno Sausages, maybe some Beef Ribs, Beef Kabobs, Jumbo Shrimp, steamed in beer and Old Bay, Yungling. For apps, Primati style Sliders, and sliced Brat and melted cheese sliders! Many spicy Bloody Mary's! I left out Homemade Garlic potato chips and homemade Salsa

Deep fried cheese curds would be a good appetizer for Green Bay.

In Texas as CTF states. Grilled Shrimp, Big Porterhouse steak, Baked Sweet Potato or a nice pecan rice pilaf. Cold Beverages Adult and not. And wear your shorts.

I hadn't thought about a fish fry. And aren't fish sandwiches a big thing in Pittsburgh as well?

our superbowl menu is usually pretty simple. Chili or nachos; perhaps a homemade pizza or a hoagie sandwich. I'm also big on snacking on deer sausage and good cheese, like a havarti caraway... for sweets, easy; chocolate chop cookies or brownies.

I might have to add a roasted lamb, sliced and tucked inside an Amaroso roll then double dipped in the juice, a la Philippe's!
