Swedish Pancakes

Yesterday morning found us in Byron IL(SW of Rockford, on the way to I88). We found a great breakfast spot, The Sweden Pancake House on 2nd Ave. On top of crepe style Swedish cakes with lingonberries, we enjoyed outstanding potato pancakes, crisp, a hint of onion, and served with sour cream and apple sauce. Crisp bacon and hot coffee completed a roadfood surprise---we recommend this spot off the beaten track and now remember how much we enjoy swedish pancakes. Any other such pancake spots out there???

Haven't tried them but Scuttlebutt's in Lake Geneva has them on the menu as well as other Swedish specialties. I have always gone there for lunch and usually have a burger. They are across the street from the public beach and pier. Seems to me there is also a place in Rockford but can't remember where or the name.
