As I have said already, my mother makes the best cinnamon rolls.

      Cakes

      PS. No slimy raisins

Do sticky buns count as cinnamon rolls, or is that a whole other thread. Because if we count sticky buns in the mix, then MY mom makes the best. No raisins--pecans!!

I was hoping to find a recipe for homemake ones. No nuts, though. (My significant other is allergic.)

            Dearfolk,
In today's (Wednesday) Atlanta Journal-Constitution newspaper, there was an article about a Ghanian bakery that is operating out of a warehouse in Norcross, Georgia. They make a sweet bread for African food stores (they don't sell retail), in addition to some other products.
The accompanying photo looked so interesting that I know I absolutely have to venture to one of their outlets to buy some and see what it's like. I can always put livermush on it if necessary....
Y'all ought to be able to link online to the article: it was in the "Atlanta & The World" section. Fascinating.
Yeastalgically, Ort. Carlton in Nearby Athens, Georgia.

I have lost the recipe for the cinnamon rolls described in a "A taste of America" column written by the Sterns several years ago. It came from a restaurant in Sallisaw, OK.
I had breakfast there and the baking was GREAT! The restaurant has changed hands and they now have store bought rolls.

              Help!
