Sylvan Park in Nashville, TN

One word.............DELICIOUS!!!!!   I had the Country Fried Steak (and this was a hand breaded piece of beef steak....no frozen stuff here!) mashed potatoes, fried corn and baked squash. The baked squash.....ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh, the baked squash...YUM! I had the scrumptious coconut pie for dessert.  My husband had the Catfish, white beans and cornbread, potatoes and greens. He also had banana pudding for dessert but gobbled it down before I got a picture.  Christian had Chicken Strips, fries, fried corn and macaroni & cheese....needless to say, boxes were taken back to the room by me and Christian...hahaha.

Thanks for the great photos Boop.  And the food looks terrific!  Sylvan Park is a favorite of mine, too.

You don't mention bread.  The last time I was at Sylvan Park (many years ago, when I was in Law School at Vanderbilt), they offered a choice of corn muffins or biscuits, or you could have one of each.

    Is that still the case?

Always loved the cream pies there, and the fried chicken (whole pieces then, not strips), and the vegetables.

My husband did that, I didn't get the picture snapped before hand....he doesn't waste time when food is placed in front of him

Oh my goodness, I did leave that out! How could I have failed to mention the cornbread?! They offered a choice of roll or cornbread, Christian chose the roll (which he gobbled down quickly) and John & I chose the cornbread. I have to say, we both agreed that was some of the best cornbread we had ever eaten!  We were there on Friday night and the Fried Chicken wasn't offered. I saw it listed on most of the other nights and we definitely want to go back and try it.
