http://www.thedailytimes....e-restaurant-id-014445 I can't recall when this location first opened, but it had been there at least 10 years. We used to enjoy going there for the kids. We felt they had the most options for kid's sides like salad or fruit instead of just fries.

I reside in Knoxville on Alcoa hwy and I have never been there. Strange cause I visit Maryville quite often. More than Knoxville Actually. Paul E. Smith Knoxville, TN

The TGIF in Marina del Rey was so busy and noisy that they were 'asked' to relocate which they did. Not a fan of the food, but the bar was always jumping.

Another franchisee that apparently went bust. There is an ad up on Loopnet dated 7/25/2011 offering the property for sale and listing it as vacant. If one of their employees would have found it back then it would have been party time the last few weeks. I note the disturbing trend of chain restaurants to close down without warning. Real bad if you planned to hold a reunion of service buddies or something like that which had to be planned in advance. Franchisor/Operator Carlson said it wants to expand the TGI Friday's chain. Perhaps someone else has some inside "dirt" on why this location closed. I can still remember going to the first TGI Friday's on 63rd and 1st in Manhattan just after I had turned 18. Had no idea it would mushroom into a large chain.

At first when I saw this I thought it was the Maryville-based restaurant. Then I realized TGIF was not based there. I was thinking of Ruby Tuesday!

TGIF's closed stores in McKinney and Plano within the last several years. It wasn't "the economy" as both were located in ultra-prosperous and growing Collin County. Their food locally was just plain nasty.
