I pass by a Taco Bell every day on my way to work and they have these big banners advertising these fruity, slushy drinks. I'm tempted to try one (maybe it's just because it is so hot right now). Has anyone tried these?

hey HotDogHead, i have tried their mango strawberry and it was pretty good and refreshing.I normally don't eat there, but thought I'd try it out. Also Jack In The Box in Universal City,Tx just two miles from me,has smoothies which are also refreshing and tasty.
Don't know if you guys have Taco Cabana by you,but they have slushies and smoothies as well.
Taco Cabana is a mexican fast food chain started years ago in San Antonio. They have expanded out of Texas too, now.

I really enjoy the mango-strawberry freezes as well. They're refreshing and a cut above the typical slushee.

Are they really good? I imagine them tasting like frozen sour mix.

I tried the mango version, just because it looked good on a hot day, and I was disappointed. It just tasted artificial, and that wasn't what I was expecting. From a Slurpee, yes, but when you're advertising the "freshness factor", it didn't cut it.
