Do you have green sauce at your local TB?
Here in Southern Oregon they have containers of
green sauce, but
you have to ask for it. Isn't on the menu board. It is either free
at the franchised ones, or $0.30 at the corporate ones.
It is a pretty descent verde and a welcome addition to their food.
Kicks the Volcano Taco up a notch!
They keep it warm in a sort of hot fudge container and spoon it out in a
cup for you. Good stuff.
Do you folks around the country have this option, or is it a west coast deal?

    Where do I file a poster's comp. claim with Roadfood.com ?

Your post caused me to fall out of my ergonomically correct full support Herman Miller desk chair.

All I remember you posting about was your local authentic Tacquerias.

Now this. I suppose the sauce is also organic and locally sourced.

I'm strapping myself in. I don't feel safe.

I used to get it all the time around here.. I substituted it for the red sauce in my bean burritos. Been several years since I've been to Taco Bell, but like you said, it's not listed anywhere, you have to ask.

eating alone and being broke does a lot to alter one's menu choices.

Me too Vic - I make them swap green for red and I have them toss in some extra diced onions too. I've even been known to get an extra one, and then heating it up the next morning, opening it up and inserting some eggs and bacon before re-rolling.

They used to have the green sauce in Illinois but I haven't seen it in years. Say what you want but about every 2 weeks or so, my partner and I have a very nice, plain Taco Bell dinner for around 5 bucks for the two of us.

Must be a regional thing. We do not have green sauce here in Tulsa at Taco bell

I just about cried when I read that, Then I thought, This guy is pulling our leg. He knows better.

                    Let me remind you.

Go to your favorite real taqueria and order a cheese quesadilla.
It's always the cheapest thing on the menu.
Here it's less than $3. In your state of Jefferson (they demand value) It's probably $1.60.

Then head to the salsa bar. Bury that guy in green. On the side make piles of pico de gallo (your salad), red to liven the salad.
a few fat jalapenos to enjoy and also make it look like your plate is the rich guy's.
Grab every salsa and veggie they have for free.
Make a plate of free warm tortilla chips to go with all that salsa.

When you sit down, repeat after me.

I'm still King, and Life is defenatly worth living.
