Welcome scheelski! Never thought of Pappasitos as a haven for tamales. Ole 007 knows his tamales! Interestingly, the area cutting a wide swath along side the Delta is great tamale country! If interested, check out the history. Long live great tamales and the lard they're made with!!!!!!!!

Some of the frozen tamales I've tried have been pretty good, and not terribly greasy. Waaaay better than the canned junk they sell.
I'm pretty sure I've been served those same frozen tamales at more than one Mexican restaurant.
