I found Taylor's Pork Roll in Atascadero at Spencer's Markets... there is also one located in Morro Bay and probably more in the central coast area.

According to the online Yellow Pages, Atascadero is the furthest north of the Spencer's Markets.

OK. Call me stupid. What is (a) Taylors Pork Roll? I have found them on the web but no description was offered. Is it a marinated loin/tenderloin??

No, it's sort of a sausage in the salami tradition. It's someting you slice and fry, and it's delicious. I think it tastes a lot like Treet, but saltier.

Tylor Pork Roll is a chopped pork meat product sold in a chub about two or three inches across. Native to New Jersey but loved everywhere. You slice it and fry it. Some people say it tastes like Treet, but well....

    Ta DA!!

I finally found some (wasn't really looking for it, though), in a Publix about 40 miles from my abode. Mighty tasty, I might add, with a couple of egges over easy and some of my salsa grits...
