Is there a procedure for testing a water pump? The pump appears to be 12 volt but I see no inverter anywhere or space for a dedicated battery.

There should be a plate on the pump that will tell you how many volts it takes to operate it. Look at the pump picture below, see the plate? It will answer your question. Where did you get the pump? 12 volt pumps don't use a battery that is on the pump like a flashlight. They are wired to a battery like the one used to start a car or truck. An inverter looks like this but there are lots of sizes and they are used mostly to convert 12 volts to 110 volts Here is a web site that sells inverters http://www.theinvertersto...v6uupa8CFaYBQAodXn4SZA

The pump came with the trailer. The trailer was used but has been sitting for about a year. (Part of a "marriage disagreement"). We are using the trailer for BBQ competitions, and would like to have everything function properly. Thanks for the reply!
