The Alamo Dog pics. Once you eat it you'll always remember it! Sat, 01/15/11 1:00 PM (permalink)
Foot long 60-40 beef/pork natural casing, my recipe, dog. Smothered in fried onions, hot pepper relish, side of garlic fries. Orders?

I would like that hot dog, but the fries would be more than I could handle. That is, the hot dog would fill me up.

I'd love the fries, of course, but together -- too much.

Michael, that is too much for almost anyone, but we are known for really big portions [ some Irish hangup of mine], more than a few people say good Lord or some such, when served.

I love your dog to bun ratio.  Why can't others do that?

Could you please tell me about that pepper relish?  Is it anything like a sambal?   Is it Hellish Relish?

Am I the only one who when served a hot dog with the toppings on top, pull out the dog moving the toppings to under the dog?  I say this realizing that they're on top for presentation.

I hope you are the only one who turns the toppings into underings.

Marlene, that's chopped cherry pepper relish, I would think you could find it at any supermarket in LA.
Put that on the bottom, kiss your roll goodbye!

I honestly forgot I posted that before, in any case with the fried onions and hot pepper relish, it's a completely different taste.

Mt Airy Meat Locker in Mt. Airy Md. makes them exclusively for me, my recipe which is simple, 60% beef-40% pork, jalapeno, fresh garlic, cumin, a little salt.
