I was looking forward to you folks blaming a washed up Favre for your upcoming 0-2 record against the Green and Gold.

Maybe you guys might want Michael Vick. Woof, woof!

Two years of a washed up Favre versus ten years of a hungry Vick.  I think we lose on this deal.

Brett may indecisive, but he is no killer.

No one can really be sure if Lord Favre is retired or not.  I wonder if the prima donna can survive without all of the attention.

He's retired alright...until tomorrow when he gets bored and no one's paying any attention to him.

Thank God we got rid of King Carl (never saw a washed up quarterback he didn't love) Peterson, or Favre would be the new "saviour" of the Chiefs.

                  Still leaving the door open...

Well this thread proved wrong but now it's been announced again. Favre is retiring (I would not bet on this myself).

                        I'm done!

He was a great QB, but he got old-----
I hope it never happens to me.

I'm a Bears fan, but Brett Favre used to be my favorite player- when he was a Packer.

I think he's a piece of garbage now.  If he is truly retiring, then he's left the Vikings in a lurch at the QB position, since they would at least have had a chance at getting McNabb.

If this is just a ploy for more time and more money (which I think it is) it's another black mark on his legacy.  He has the Vikings over a barrel here, and he knows it.
I hope he comes back and get's sacked 10 times in the first half of the first game, and they need a crow bar to pry his disembodied head from his helmet.

One of the best quarterbacks ever, and one of the biggest douchebags ever.  Go away, Brent.

One of our local Jock Talk Shows was playing thisc today:
Kenny Loggins This Is It lyrics

There have been times in my life
                                      I've been wondering why
                                      Still somehow I believed
                                      We'd always survive
                                      Now I'm not so sure
                                      You're waiting to hear
                                      One good reason to try
But what more can I say
                                      What's left to provide
You think that maybe it's over
Only if you want it to be
Are you gonna wait for your sign, your
                                      miracle
                                      Stand up and fight
                                      This is it
Make no mistake where you are
                                      This is it
                                      Your back's to the corner
                                      This is it
                                      Don't be a fool anymore
                                      This is it
                                      The waiting is over
                                      No room to run
                                      No way to hide
                                      No time for wondering why
                                      It's here
                                      The moment is now
                                      About to decide
                                      Let him believe
                                      Or leave him behind
But keep me near in your heart
                                      And know, whatever you do
                                      I'm here by your side
You said that maybe it's over
Not if you don't want it to be
For once in your life, here's your miracle
                                      Stand up and fight
                                      This is it

                                      This is it
                                      Until it's over and done
No one can tell you what you know
Who makes the choice of how it goes
It's not up to me this time
                                      You know
There comes a day in every life

One of our local Jock Talk Shows was playing thisc today:
Kenny Loggins This Is It lyrics

There have been times in my life
                                          I've been wondering why
                                          Still somehow I believed
                                          We'd always survive
                                          Now I'm not so sure
                                          You're waiting to hear
                                          One good reason to try
But what more can I say
                                          What's left to provide
You think that maybe it's over
Only if you want it to be
Are you gonna wait for your sign, your
                                          miracle
                                          Stand up and fight
                                          This is it
Make no mistake where you are
                                          This is it

                                          This is it

                                          This is it

                                          No way to hide
                                          No time for wondering why
                                          It's here
                                          The moment is now
                                          About to decide
                                          Let him believe
                                          Or leave him behind
But keep me near in your heart
                                          And know, whatever you do
                                          I'm here by your side
You said that maybe it's over

I never said that he was washed up, I said that barring Matt Hasselbeck and Shannon Sharpe, "he was the whiniest player ever!!!!!!!!"

I always liked Favre as a quarterback unless he was playing against my team, (The Broncos) as in the 1997 Super Bowl. I think that he is as talented as anyone out there and better than most. I don't know how much more punishment his body can take before he has to go bionic. ("We have the technology, We can rebuild him!")

He has decided to make Decision eventually as to wether he will decide to play this year. If he went to Detroit and won the title he would become a God...Russ
