 That's the building.
I know what is was, I just can't shake it out of my brain.
I'm also sure there was another between Harrisburg and Frederick, MD.

I remember a few Rax restaurants in the greater Kansas City area back in the 1980's.  The one I remember most was in Overland Park right off of 87th Street on Bluejacket Street near 69-highway.  It sat next to a Wendy's.  Rax managed to come in (I'd say probably 1980) when Arby's was not yet here, then Arbys' came, left, and came back.  I think the Rax was gone by the mid-to-late 80's.  The last I saw it was a Chinese restaurant.  The thing that stands out in my memory about Rax was they had a breakfast buffet - the first I ever saw at a fast food place - and it was great!

There used to be a couple of Rax in the greater Kalamazoo Michigan area circa. 1980's...remember my buddy Al (not the Mayor!) and I getting a BBC (Bacon Beef Cheese) and their awesome shakes, with whipped cream before anyone else was doing that (now they ALL are) Too bad they fell on such hard times, but it's hard to compete with Arby's and all the sub places....

In the 1980s we had several Rax restaurants in the Chicago area; their Joliet location is the only survivor. I also remember one on US 52 in Aberdeen OH, right next to the Ohio River.

I was born and raised in Kalamazoo...so yes of course I remember Rax.  I only remember two locations in Kalamazoo.  One was on Gull Road and the other was Downtown Kalamazoo off of Michigan Ave.  I liked Rax.  Not sure how to compare it to Arby's because it's been so long since I've had a Rax sandwich.

Intelligent...the one Downtown became a bar called the Up and Under, and now i think has been torn down for a Comfort/Quality Inn...I dont remember where the one on Gull Road was...was it across from Nazareth? The one we went to was in Portage, on South Westnedge...it was right next to Mcdonalds by the corner of Romence and Westnedge...they tore IT down for a Walgreens, and now its an O'Reillys auto parts store... Ahh Rax...good times, good times...

Yea the one on Gull Road was right across the street from Nazareth College.  I don't remember the one on the corner of Romance and Westnedge.  Hmm...anyways, good to see someone on here that knows a little something something about Kalamazoo.
