When we got our 2001 Supercrew (new) We were very pleased with the whole package...ride, space, price, etc. In 2005 we traded for a new (2005) version. Again all thngs considered, it showed us many small improvemnts that made us happy. Even with an increase in the price, the overall fiscal side of the deal remained close to the 2001 deal. Now here we are in 2011, doing another trade for another F150 XLT. The interior room in the new truck is incredible. I have to move my seat forward several inches to get me close enough to the wheel to drive, and I still have some 'belly room' to spare (no pun) in that arrangement. I am learning the computer systems as far as SYNC and the dash-panel data-readout...plenty to study! We passed on the Zero % Interest financing to get the $6000+ in rebates, with the trade of the 2005 and no other cash, we still have payents about the same as what we were paying for Janet's Focus (recently paid Off). It looks good, rides great, has a ton of room inside and lots of new toys and bells and whistles to practice on, and "The Price Is Right"!! Yet to come for this edition-- no Cap on this one, maybe a 'LID' or a Tonneau Cover in the future. A couple of LED light-strips for the tailgate and running boards. The New Front Plate will show our family pride "Two Blue Stars" instead of my old Army Security Agency Insignia. Yeah Michael, we like the new 'RIDE' !

I have wanted another truck since I sold my last one. Now the Mayor has made me very very envious although if I bought one, I seriously doubt that it would be in the same league that Al bought. Paul E. Smith Knoxville, TN

I speak for myself but perhaps some of you and I sure do appreciate the Mayor contributing the to US economy. If every member on Roadfood would do the same, how much would the US debt be reduced? I have no idea but Al, on behalf of many people, we sure do appreciate your contribution and POX be on you for making we want a new truck and I am really envious Paul E. Smith Knoxville, TN

I've wanted a truck for years, and something for it to tow (like a trailer!) for years now. Best of luck with it, Al, and DRIVE IT IN GOOD HEALTH, alright??

Chewie, They replaced the 'Gun-Metal Blue' of previous years with this 'Dark Blue Metallic', which, because of the 'Anti-Kentucky Wildcat Blue' demonstrated by my U of Louisville fans-family (Cardinal Red) we have politely renamed Indianapolis Colts Blue to avoid conflicts. My 'Blue' is quite a bit 'Darker' than the shade available on this post...but you get the idea. Shopping for a spray in bedliner and some form of Bed-cover..not a full cap/topper like we had on the old one. Harriet, I'll do my best to stay healthy, trust me on that.

Al very nice looking truck. Look for an Undercover bed cover. It is a flat top that covers the bed. I have 1 on my Toyota and like it a lot.
