You wind up in a mcdonald's. Maybe you are on the road. Maybe you have kids. Maybe you smoked pot like one of the posters above. It happens. YOu wonder if there's anything there that doesn't taste like every other mcdonald's sandwich you've had. McRib. there's hope, and in a moment of weakness you order one. Pork scraps pressed together and steamed, with a passable sauce. You swear you'll never do it again...but then one day....

Several posts above had it about right. When all is said and done the McRib is a mis-shaped hot dog with BBQ sauce . Bad. On the other hand I agree that McDonald's has good coffee and the sausage-egg-cheese McGriddle is probably the best heart stopping fast food ever. Worth a stent on two.

If you're lucky enough to be in the right market you can get both at the same locale. Could you imagine...if you arrived at 10:30am you might actually be able to get a Egg McMuffin, a McGriddle, a McRib, a Big Mac and a McLobster Roll in one stop! Would the world continue to rotate counter-clockwise?

i've HEARD the munchies will cover a multitude of sins. i will admit in my younger days anything mickey d's was good by me. (especially if i had late night, smoke-induced cravings for mass quantities of food.) fortunately, i've grown and moved on. anytime i'm tempted to eat at the golden arches the gut ache i get from partaking of even their most basic of "foods" (hamburger, small fries (i DO love their fries, even to this day) and shake, is enough to swear me off another couple of years. do a little science experiment: i would hate to waste a whole "shake" being the frugal bastard that i am, but leave 1/4 or 1/8th of the shake in the cup and let it melt. you'll discover why they don't call them "milk shakes" (best to do this at halloween, cause it will scare the bejebers out of any sane food lover.) i too, have fond memories of the mcrib. when they re-released it in my area a couple years back i just HAD to give it a go. either my memory was VERY jaded or they changed the formula. (i tend not to call the majority of their stuff "recipes") particularly on the sauce they bathe the "mcformed processed pork" in. to me the ONLY saving grace WAS the pickle slices! i will say, i tend to be the adventurous type and try just about anything, food wise. so to all the "McRibVirgins" out there, give it a try! ...... just don't cry when you've discovered what you lost it to. McDonalds will NOT respect you in the morning.....

Michael Hoffman Nope. I never eat products pushed by the Boneless Pig Farmers Association of America, and I don't eat sandwiches that have pickles on them. What's your beef with boneless pigs?

The mcrib is one thing from mcdonalds that I can't stand. I can tolerate most of their food and I actually enjoy some items such as mcgriddles.

What's your beef with boneless pigs? Yeah, as if they don't face enough adversity...with the lack of a skeleton and all...now they have to deal with this kind of discrimination. It just isn't right.

I haven't had one since the early eighties. I think it's time to take a stroll down McRib Road again.

I'm going to stay away from the McRibless. It might have tasted good in high school a time or two, but in my case it will remain in memory lane along with several other bad things. "Just say McNo!" Andrea
