Michael Hoffman agnesrob I just put my turkey in the oven and I'm already dreaming of that first turkey sandwich! It will be on white bread and include turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce and mayo. Oh, and salt and pepper too! Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! Michael, I hope you have a nice meal at the WH! Thank you very much. I hope your Thanksgiving Day is a warm and wonderful one for you and your family. I just got back from a very, very wet morning of pheasant hunting. My Waffle House patty melt will come sometime this afternoon. Michael... What breed of dog are you hunting with?

No dog now, for the first season of my hunting life. I had to put down my Chesapeake last December. It's not the same.

My opinion only but there is something about the smell and taste of cold turkey that I do not care for. I cannot tell you why but I have tried and I have to wash my hands after I handle cold turkey. My dog still likes it but I do not. Hot turkey fresh out of the oven is delicious but after it cools and refrigerates, I cannot do it. I gave it to my dog who certainly appreciates it. Tonight, I am having burgers infused with onions, peppers and spices. Paul E. Smith knoxville, TN

Somehow, I find cold white meat with mayo on white bread perfect - wrapping in cellophane is strictly optional. Actually, that's what I had for lunch during a childhood road trip into Canada. My first time there, and I found it exciting. Mind you, we lived in Kansas at the time.

cavandre No mayo...doesn't need it with the cranberry sauce. Yep. Turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce for me. The rest of the year my turkey sandwiches DO get mayo, sometimes swiss, tomato or other additions, but not the post Thanksgiving sandwich.
