Costco sell haricot vert in two pound packages. They aren't from France or Belgium, but they are real, real skinny. Kind of short, too.

    Huh.. If a farmer around here produced a thin green, short bean, he'd probably be shot (that and go broke for not being able to sell his crop)... Amazing how cultures can clash... But then I'm the fool.. After this summers drought here, I produced many a pound of Haricot Verts!
