The Red Rabbit...

Has anyone ever been to The Red Rabbit, it was/is located just outside Amity Hall, Pa., just after you cross the Juniata river bridge heading west on 322. I haven't been there for many years, if I recall it was only open Thursday thru Sunday, and opened up after 5pm sometime. (was only ever there very late at night) Awesome Fries...and a burger called the Bunny Burger that couldn't be beat! Haven't been up that way in years, and was wondering if the place still exists and if it does is the food still as good as it ever was? The Red Rabbit is/was with out a doubt worthy of the title Roadfood!!!!!

YUP....I drove up to State College last Saturday to visit my folks and saw it was still there....was way to early in the day for the Rabbit to be open. Still looks exactly as I remember it though! The strawberry shake was always my favorite! The Red Rabbit strawberry shake always reminded me of the strawberry quik rabbit....LOL

Haven't stopped there in a few years, but pass it every time I drive to Penn State for football games and the Arts Festival. Last time I was there, I had the BBQ sandwich which is what most would call a sloppy joe...mmmmmmmmm...yum!

Great place. The last time I was there I was coming back from Baltimore and I had my grandson with me. We stopped for lunch and he thought it was so cool that we ordered our food in the car and then actually ate in the car!

Haven't been to the restaurant, but I enjoyed Tom Clancy's Novel About "The Red Rabbit". If you are a fan of his character Jack Ryan, This book is part of the continuing adventures of Mr Ryan.
