It's interesting that the Tribune feels the need to attribute lutefisk to Minnesota when at one time the largest Norwegian settlement outside of Norway was in Wisconsin.

I believe that's called "deflecting the blame".

It could be because the Olsen Fish Co. That makes most all the lutefisk is in Minnesota and the Sons of Norway international organization headquarters is in Minneapolis. That, and we own the Ole and Lena jokes.

And lutefisk was in abundance at Christmas supper...along with a pile of lefse!

Love the lefse, those look perfect! A little butter and a little cinnamon.

Figured I'd add some from this year's event. You might notice the people stay in their same roles year after year:

                Pay at the altar:

The Lefse Ladies.  Note the church basement has a BUILT-IN PIE RACK right there in the main room (not hidden in the kitchen):

                The Lady in Charge:

                Voila!

The servers are all decked out in custom aprons:

Plate number one of...well.....more than one:

The lefse.  At this point, my camera lens kept fogging up due to the camera being cold and the moisture in the air from the lutefisk operation.

My middle one apparently showing off his post-feast belly:

Retreat to the cabin to visit (and grab a catnap up in the loft):

                Outside the cabin:

I spotted the first local "Lutefisk Dinner" sign of the season over the weekend and it's going to be November 2, I believe.  I suggest making hotel reservations very soon because they're going to sell out fast; Wanderingjew, you might be able to get a flight from Providence to Milwaukee.
