That's a pretty hoity-toity list for a guy who's from the "hot dog capital of America" !!!
The Metroplex (Dallas - Ft. Worth) is the "Hot Dog Capital of America"??!!
I thought that was either Jersey or Chicago, with L.A. "pretending".
Dallas is the city where high end steak places (Smith & Wollensky, Ruth's Chris, Morton's and BLT) go to die, withering from their inability to compete with the locals.
Hell, I have to drive 20 miles to patronize a butcher who purveys decent dogs (Thurman's, Vienna All Beef): www.hirschsmeats.com
. Only Central Market sells Sabrett's - another 20 mile trek from my adopted hometown of McKinney, ("The second best place to live in the U.S."
doncha' know; truth is, I'd prefer Pittsburgh but Mrs. Metro rules my little roost). --------------------------------
But, the more I think about this you are probably right - sadly, we do have Jerry Jones and his insufferable Cowboys & Cheesy Cheerleaders. Pass the mustard!
