Davwud It's been featured on DD&D DT Brad Orrison, the co-owner, took 4th of 6 in the recent Fd Netwrk Best In Smoke contest. Not that great an accomplishment really. Always wonder how the producers choose who gets to compete. A shot at the $50,000 prize and all the "free" advertising must be quite valuable. Brad certainly is a character. He uses his hands like a real Italian:

I registered for their roadfood feeding thing...Got a very nice metal hat pin and a discount card. We hope to stop there (MS) on our way south this winter. They have spread out thru francheses quickly. The original store sounds like a winner !

That kid is awesome! Good luck to his endeavor. I showed Bob this video, and it reminded him of his roofing days-they cooked everything on the hot tar kettle. His boss would toss corn on the cob straight from a farmers truck, into the hot tar, and an hour later, having let the tar cool, they had awesome corn!!!

The Shed BBQ in Mississippi on Hwy 57 burned to the ground Saturday night. It appears to be a total loss.Too bad it was a great place.

oopsme The Shed BBQ in Mississippi on Hwy 57 burned to the ground Saturday night. It appears to be a total loss.Too bad it was a great place. Wasn't a total loss, parts of it are still standing. Word is they actually pulled the meat out of the smoker (wasn't burnt) and fed the responders. They are asking for donations of random objects to rebuild. There was a line of Shedheads dropping off all kinds of stuff to rebuild. I love the Shed, they are an amazing group of people.

Crazy about the fire. I was headed down that way in a few weeks and it was on my list of places to stop. I wonder if their other locations are as good.

According to my aunt, an Ocean Springs resident, the Shed was OOB for about 2 days. They put up a trailer and kept dishin' it out.

We may be adding a branch of the Shed to our Glee Club Agenda for next Winter. There are a couple of them in the Pensacola/Mobile area.

Sorry to hear about the fire. Family and I stopped by on the way back from ATL 2 yrs ago. Good ribs and pulled pork. Great people there too. Met Brad and his sister. Good salt of the earth folks. Glad they're rebuilding.
