The Turkey Dump Sat, 11/20/10 8:16 PM (permalink)
My daughter told me about this last year. Thanksgiving break is generally the time when childhood sweethearts get the axe by freshmen returning home for the holliday. A few months away from home with new people, situations, experiences, and places expands one's horizons that there's a big world out there. Thanksgiving is the perfect time among family and insulating circumstances to deliver the final blow face to face and sever the heartstrings of the one who's been faithfully waiting back home or attending another institution only to escape the situation within a day or two. The turkey isn't the only one that never seen it coming and got roasted. High probability it's going to be some young man that's going to be blindsided by a young lady that's seen much greener pastures and attention then back home then the other way round.

Girls in Freshman year of College change their minds 60 or 70,000 times a week. Fathers should warn their sons of this annoying habit.

Are you suggesting that the Turkey is not the only one getting the Axe?

After reading the subjuct line, I thought this would be about what happens a few hours after eating.
