Washington Post tries to settle the Upstate, NY hotdog dispute, which has made its way to Northern, VA/DC area with the opening of Rochester Based grocery stores: Wegman's.

my only problem with Wegman's brand "winning" the taste test, is that the Wegman's brand is really more of a brat than a hot dog. So, if you take out the brat and only compare the hot dogs, as you ALL can tell, Hofmann's (from Syracuse) won the battle of Hofmann's vs. Sweigles! (as I have always known!)

    Hi,
I have never tried either one unfortunately. It seems to go back to the standard regional favorites. Trying to get people in one region to try something new can be like pulling teeth, until they actually try it that is. I always wanted to try a white hot. Cannot get them here though.

Avacados, not just for quacamole anymore...
Actually what djtomatoe says sounds pretty good.

No question in this mind. Hofmann's make the best dogs in this part of the world.
