am- wouldn't that be nice, Tabasco making amends? - but I do think the state pays a $5 bounty per nutria tail. Having sweated out hurricane season and hopefully spared us this year, I have no sympathy for the little buggers.

kozel Mr. CTF, being from Maryland, here's an example that might impact you directly. What happens when you raise taxes on the 'rich'. http://online.wsj.com/art...24329282377252471.html The Maryland Legislature, and Governor, are a menace to the very rich as well as the small businessman like myself...they have taken to the term "fee", not a new tax, a new fee, like raising the fee for septic disposal, 300%.

Mr Kozel, that settles it I will not move to Maryland. I didn't know about this additional tax or fee. But fie on the fee, I remain where I am and my money stays with me. Unless, of course, I get a hole in my pocket. CTF how come you were home drinking 6 cold ones yesterday? Is Chubby's closed on Sunday? McNabb looked good for an old geezer. My Giants need some of your rejuvenation soup. Maybe a lot of it.

Indeed he did, first time the Skins stole a Qback fromm Philly, was Sonny Jurgensen, we traded Norm Snead for him. I hope the trade comes back to haunt them the same way Sonny did!

Sonny was one tough SOB CTF. could also throw some mighty fine passes. Norm Snead ended up with the Giants and didn't fare very well, but Eli isn't doing much better. Are you closed on Sunday? I don't want to get there on a Sunday and find the padlock on the door and the pulled pork nowhere in sight. Since you claim to be Irish, what's on the menu March 17th ?

Ancient One, we are open every day except Thanksgiving and Christmas, setve very cold beer in frozen Mason Jars, 16 and 32 ozs. St. Patty's day we feature smoked Blarney, provided by a local Irish BBQ restaurant owner, being St. Patty's day, it is free to one and all!

What is Blarney, smoked or otherwise? Other than the mother tongue of the Irish what kinda Blarney are you puttin' out. In "2001 I went to the St Patrick's Day Parade in NYCity with a darlin girl from the Emerald Isle. After the last piper passed we went looking for a pub for a pint and some corned beef and cabbage. We must have walked at least 10 miles looking for a pub that wasn't chuck full. What a mob scene. The whiskey flowed like buttermilk. Mary (herself) and I ended up in the ThruWay Diner in New Rochelle and had the speciality of the day-----Corned Beef and Cabbage-----, wood U bee-leave.

CTF how do you have time for all you must do and still hang out on Roadfood with a bunch of old guys who have nothing else to keep them awake. It's a hard life you lead. Until I retired officially I never had time for the computer .

Officially I folded my tent, put away the drawing board and Tee Square in 2004. Un-officially in 2008. Had a computer since 1986 and still don't know how to use it. Since it is my daily companion, here in lovely St Pete, I may try to learn a little more about it-----but then I would have to think and that would be an awful strain. Ciao Y'ALL.

Until I retired officially I never had time for the computer . As Rf Members can attest to, my Dell sits at the end of my Bar, I'm only in the Kitchen when we're shortstaffed, I watch all the food going out and test different foods on the Steam Table on a whim, if something ain't perfect, I Chewtheass of the guilty party. No one in the kitchen wants to be the object of my irritation, they rarely are. otherwise I sign checks, make a weekly Costco run, sometimes twice. Otherwise Ancient One, I sit here posting, listening to customers, talking to most all, asking how they liked their chow, where are they from, telling them lies, you know, the Irish thing! PS. Blarney is a Irish Bull, served up in huge portions, so thick, it's tough to cut with a sharp knife!!

OK CTF I can visualize chewingtheass of the guilty party ---is that where you got your Roadfood name Chewing the fat? On to the next question----Now I know that Blarney is Irish Bull, what I don't know is -----------what is irish Bull ? Now a statement about Irish telling lies, that, sir, is a fabrication-----we may often stretch the truth (to it's very utmost often) but lie, God forbid. Saints Preserve us !!!!!!!! Sounds like you run a tight ship. Keep up the good work. I plan to be there Christmas Day 2014 for dinner, mark it down.

Just a little snippet I just read re:Electric Cars. A study just conducted shows that recharging an electric car's battery causes 3 times the pollution than running it does----so it may be that the pollution savings isn't very much at all. More to come on this I am sure.

This isn't Bull ---Irish or otherwise----this is Banter. Bull on the internet is banter. Bull is what the guy on the next bar stool spouts. Always taken with a grain of salt.

Ancient one: I'd think with your technical background you'd immediately see thru the disingenuous ploy behind that bit about electric cars. An all- electric car while running emits very little pollution - wear from tires, gas from a discharging battery, metallic dust and particles from the motor, etc. Whereas the electricity used to charge the battery may well create three times the pollution of the running car. That is: three times very little is still very little and a Hell of a lot less than operating a gasoline or diesel powered car. Cheers, John

John, that is why I wrote "more to come" when we hear the whole story it will be time to make a decision. I am 1000% into saving energy, but many things look promising but just don't pan out. In 1999 or 2000 I was very much involved with wind mills generating electricity. I was in Rochester and talked to a young man who said his was generating enough for him to be off line almost all year. I learned from him that he had a farm out of town where the windmill worked just fine. I got in touch with Cornell University where they had a program running on wind producing electricity. I spoke to the lad in charge and he said there were too many draw backs to make it productive other than in a commercial enterprise. He listed a dozen or so---and so I wait to see what the cons are, as against the pros, before jumping in up to my neck. The other post was just in keeping with the topic.
