However it might be easier to see Anthony Bourdain slip some tongue to Rachel Ray than get The Contingent to agree on a date for anything.

We may not get 100% attendance, but we always get a quorum.  Which, with our bunch, can be as few as two and as many as twenty five.

MilwFoodlover agreed to let me drive with him, so I guess its a go!!! This is certainly a place I want to experience!

Since it's a Sunday, I'd like a lunch time, rather than a dinner. Therefore, anytime between 11 - 1 is fine with me!

Count me as another lunch vote.  I'm planning on being there but can't say yet if anyone else will be coming along, and probably won't know for sure until about a week before.

If we're leaning toward lunch, I'd push for a 1:00pm start.

It'll also be nice to meet all of those tasty ducklings and piggies.... And Alyce, I hope you've experienced a Great Lakes winter before.

1:00pm sounds good to me.  I can work on some suggestions for other places in that neighborhood for anyone who wants to do some exploring before or after.

I have not experienced a "Great Lakes winter" before...although I was in Chicago, January 2011,  it was very temperate.  But when one loves one's pork, no sacrifice is too great.

The weather at the end of February can vary wildly so there's no telling what it might be for your visit.  It could be clear with single-digit temperatures, in the 20s and snowing like all get out, or even in the springlike 40s.  Instead of trying to bring along enough clothes to cover the bases you might just want to shop for what you need when you get here.
 
So are we definitely planning on ordering the whole pig?  I mentioned it to my daughter and she wants no part of that...

She doesn't HAVE to eat the pig.
Duck is not my thing, so I won't be eating that, and I'll nibble at the pig, but there are other things I might try, so I may end up ordering something in addition, and sharing or taking home leftovers as the situation warrants. 

There will be LOTS of other food besides duck and pig- show her the photos of the menu I took when I was there 12/17, plus there's specials they post on the wall that I forgot to take pictures of.
 
There will be at least one pig- when I make the reservations, I'm going to ask for their advice on how many to get, considering we're also getting duck(s) and other stuff.  Your daughter can sit at the other end of the table from Señor Cerdo.

Lord, cant wait for this outing.....my b-day is around that time,, so lets celebrate!

This may be The Year of the Dragon on the Chinese calendar, but for The Contingent, we have officially entered The Month of the Pig and Duck.  Our visit to Sun Wah is just 25 days away and I can already hear the quacks and squeals emanating from the north side of the city.
 
I received a PM from a quiet Roadfooder who calls herself "cubbie" (AKA "Katie" over at LTHForum).  She'll be joining us on the 26th and I thought we might take a moment to make her feel welcome before the actual event.  So, howdy cubbie!  Welcome aboard for this outing and, I hope, many more.  Your attendance, and local address, assures your membership in The Contingent.  I'm sure the other members will be happy to have you in the group.  I've adjusted the guest list to include you as a single.  If you'd like to bring a guest (or more), you're welcome to do so.  Please just keep us informed so we can make the right reservation.
