The real poop and nothing but the poop!

First of all, if any of you are in South Florida, I'd love to hear from ya. Again, if it sounds to good to be true...it usually is! I keep reading discussion threads that state $200-300 per day is the hot dog vending cart norm. Of course location is crucial.....and finding a location in Palm Beach County proves to be more of a challenge than I thought. Most events are sewn up already with vending companies and most municipalities down here are real "anal" about sharing the wealth. As most of you have heard by now, South Florida has been under severe thunderstorm/tornado warning since Sunday. No dog selling this week so far. Instead I've been working on marketing materials and Quickbooks. I've got 11K invested in the past 3 months and my biggest day was $107.00! Patience is a virtue, and if it came easy, I probably would not appreciate it. I'd like some REAL folks to tell me the REAL DEAL on how to make this thing work. Events have to be the key! Any suggestions would be appreciated!!

One of the biggest money makers Ive seen was downtown cincinnati near the cout bldgs. Get within a block and the smell ofe grilling sausages and peppers would start the drooling. There were always at lest 10 people in line. I had to get one every time I had Biz down there. They were the whip! Another is The Hamburger stand in Miamisburg, oh. It sits on a one way street accross from the fire house. We had to walk over a block since they had no parking and the line was still huge. We must have waited 1/2 hour to get served. The problem was the food. I spit it out. I started life as a slider-plus and was coated with white pepper then fried in lard and served on a plain bun with piclke chip(1). Then they shook more white pepper on it. One whiff and I really started to sneeze. I couldnt even swallow one bite as it was so bad!!! my wifer did no better. BTW it was served with a soda warm from the shelf! I cant see the business but the locals love the place and its always packed. I gues that mean it not only that success cann be found with a truly superior product but also with marketing starategy. Its not like anyone else sprung up with a similar burger to compete-they have afree market...
