Theedge does pulled pork

So I've really been getting into this smoking thing. Last month I was into ribs, this month it's pulled pork. Here is a 4.7 pound pork butt. I rubbed it with yellow mustard and an off the shelf pork rub. I put it in the smoker set at 225 from 7:00 pm, until 8:30 a.m. The internal temperature hit 200. The thing pulled apart beautifully, some of the best I've ever had. I'd like to do an 8 pounder and mop it a few times during the cooking process. It's a matter of having your timing down, heck I guess I'm always up at least once during the night anyways...

Thanks, here is a pic of one of my earlier attempts. The pork wasn't as good as I didn't bring it up to the 190-200 range. But the sides we're tasty, can't eat that to often with out needing bigger pants.

Thanks guys - Sundancer7 I've been trying to sing, boy I'm just not very good. Been playing piano for 27 years, so I really wish I could. I've even got a little PA set up in the basement with my electric piano...after a few cockails I think I sound just ok.

Thanks for getting the gastric juices rolling!! I was introduced to BBQ years ago while stationed in Arkansas, a local friends folks ran a Qshack, my fondest gluttony memories are of a creation we called a barcheburger, a cheeseburger topped with pulled pork, frenchfries, slaw and of course hotsauce.... There's hardly a week goes by that I don't smoke something. When I'm not in the mood to mess with the smoker "Sonny's" has a decent pulled pork take out, then it's over to "Bono's" for a quart of takeout BBQbeans, then home for a lil afternoon delite gourmond style! Now where did I put my truck keys????

mmmm a barcheburger, sounds like something I'd like to try. The closest really good Q is about an hour from my house so it's nice to be able to make my own.

Man that looks good! Thanks for sharing! (Try dousing it in Mesquite Seasoning (powder) next time! Adds a real nice flavor!)...
