I assume the three scary words you mean are "We Have Ribs". Although "Burger King Breakfast" wouldn't be too far behind! So, how were the ribs?

buffetbuster I assume the three scary words you mean are "We Have Ribs". Although "Burger King Breakfast" wouldn't be too far behind! So, how were the ribs? If we're willing to assume that "$1.00" is one word, and the think tank at Burger King goes with the more traditional "cheeseburger" spelling, then "$1 Double Cheeseburger" may make the list, too. TJ - I swear....I was tempted to hit the drive through and ask if they had beef ribs - and what kind of rub they used. But, since I would have been the only one laughing...I just took the photo and left.

Tony Bad You should have taken one for the team. Wimp Seriously. I was going to see. More than anything, I was curious as to what the pricing would be a on a ribs value meal. It turns out, though, that the local BK franchise is owned by the same guy who has another food web site, and I was banned from the drive-thru.

Yours is four words! I just wonder what these restaurants are thinking? Without starting a fast-food debate, it seems as though the most popular of these types of restaurants all focus on a small menu - doing just a few things right. Five Guys, In-n-Out, Chick-fil-a, for examples. These other places seem to hop on the bandwagon of any new item that they think "might" be hot. How many restaurants have introduced sliders? Hell...most people didn't know what sliders were two years ago. As I have said...I am ALMOST curious enough to go back.

Another fast food thread? Maybe the OP needs a reminder which site he is on. Even though he isn't allow on many. What is Roadfood Roadfood means great regional meals along highways, in small towns and in city neighborhoods. It is non-franchised, sleeves-up food made by cooks, bakers, pitmasters, and sandwich-makers who are America’s culinary folk artists. Roadfood is almost always informal and inexpensive; and the best Roadfood restaurants are colorful places enjoyed by locals (and savvy travelers) for their character as well as their menu. It is our intention that Roadfood.com will lead the way to: - great local color
- the best regional specialties
- unforgettable diners, celestial barbecue, and four-star pig-outs galore!
BTW, Were they Busy?

They sell em at Winco for about $.99 a pound or so. I think they throw these away in real meat territory.

I was going to say that the scariest three words are "another fast-food thread," but that only counts if you use creative word counting. You make an excellent point about the places that make a few items very well, such as In-n-Out and Chick-Fil-A. Places such as Burger King don't even belong in the same class as those places. Of course any restaurant that focuses on doing a few items well (Home of the "___________") usually does a better job than one that dabbles in multiple offerings - with the notable exception of some diners with the encyclopedia of menu choices.

I actually paid attention to the Marque in front of the Corydon,IN BK this afternoon. I guess I won't get the chance to review the ribs like the Indy writer did.... All they were pushing on the sign was the "New G.I. Joe Toys are in" !!

Wabbit, Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they did sell them in the traditional BBQ areas. Hard to say why the marketing seems to work so well on some products that are really just cheap-knockoffs of the real thing, But obviously they do sell (sometimes)! I think the jury is out on this one so far... but I wouldn't count on the Ribs becominga staple on the menu at BK. Culver's attempted to add two Rib dishes to it's menu here in Indiana last year. The test didn't last very long.
