I think a lot of people who don't care for the lunch/dinner options at the fast food restaurants like the breakfasts that are offered. My wife would complain all day if I suggested we go to McDonalds for dinner, but if we are on the road early she will insist on stopping for sausage biscuts and hashbrowns.

I get McDonaldized , quite often, because my ex-hubby is a manager at one. I won't eat the burgers or fries, or most of the lunch/dinner offering. I do like the salads and a Sausage egg cheese biscuit and hashbrowns. I might try the steak bagel, and see what the hubbub is about. By the way, the bagels are specially made for McDonalds by Lender's.(I've seen the list of vendors) Chicken-Tyson Cheese-Kraft Yogurt-Dannon Tea-depending on locale, Luzianne or Lipton

That makes sense. I don't buy them, but I have seen them and they look really small in the market. (as I admit I've had the Steak 'n Egg Bagel and noticed it was larger, sshh)

When cooked fresh to order, with extra onions and/or sauce...the taste is heavenly!! Get the sandwich by itself with black coffee and you are ready to begin the day!!! Add some hashbrowns & you have an excellent hangover cure. Excellent post. I couldn't agree more. I bet that nasty little sucker tastes good, but I'll pass on McDs, except under hanover conditions.

Honestly I was surprised at the size of the sandwich

From jman - "Some people on here are like a broken record. So you don't like McD's or Wendy's or BK or Arby's or Sonic, etc. We get it! When someone makes a positive post about one of these FF joints, why is it necessary to add your two cents about how bad they are? Do you think we missed it the first ninety-nine times you posted?" Someone suggested getting the double hamburger with Big Mac sauce and lettuce added. I did and thought it was good, best thing is they have to make it fresh.
