Tom Bosley (Mr Cunningham) passes on Tue, 10/19/10 3:27 PM (permalink)
I first saw Tom Bosley on Broadway playing the mayor of NYCity in Fiorello (LaGuardia)
i thought he was great.  And then he showed up with the Fonz and Richie and made himself famous.

Hey, Mr Cunningham, how are things in Heaven ?

Two big, big stars of TV in one week The Beevers mother was 94
and Richie's father was 83  ---- may you both rest in peace and
entertain those around you----loved ya both.

He seemed like a nice man.

Ironic, I saw his picture this morning on an Internet piece on the great TV families (centered around the Cleavers) and said to myself "I wonder how he's doing?"

He did seem like a nice man. Great career: Broadway, Happy Days, The Father Dowling Mysteries. My sister and I used to watch the cartoon David the Gnome. Tom Bosley voiced the main character.

He came through the airport several times here in Milwaukee & asked security to keep fans away from them. My old boss had to kinda hide her pen & paper behind her back after he asked that.

Apparently Tom Bosley was Aaron Spelling's first choice to play David Doyle's role in "Charlie's Angels" but he didn't take the job ("Happy Days" was in high gear at the time), and that's why the character was named "Bosley".
