To be honest, I thought he had already died years ago. I remember watching him on "The Tomorrow Show", where he was always smoking. You certainly don't see that on tv anymore.

I remember him as a part of the 70's. And Dan Ackyroyd did a great impression of him.

I recall the ads for the late evening, early morning show. Tonight on Tomorrow, then during his show, Tomorrow on Today...

I can't think of Tom Snyder without thinking of Dan Ackyroyd. One of the best impressions ever.

          RIP, Mr. Snyder.

I had a major crush on the man in ther 70's, thought he was so suave and debonair! I thought he had such an air of mystery -- but it was probably just the cigarette smoke!

Here's to Mr. Tomorrow: I will miss you!

                Hello All,
Tom Snyder had class, style and intellect.
I actually talked to him on his call-in radio program.
Well, Tom, "fire up a colortini, sit back, relax, and
watch the pictures, now, as they fly through the air."
                Take Care,
                Fieldthistle

I watched The Tomorrow Show on a regular basis...seemed like Tomw always had my favorite bands at the time on.

The Clash, The New York Dolls, Talking heads, Patti Smith....on and on.

                  R.I.P. Tom Snyder.....

Jay Leno used a film clip of he and Tom Snyder doing a conversation back when Leno looked like he was being passed over as the replacement for Johnny Carson. Snyder made some comment about the Exec's at NBC who we not in tune with Leno's skills at handling the show. When Leno tried to smooth over the negative comment (he was still in the running at the time) Snyder said "Who cares what they think. What are they gonna do, Fire Us??" (lots of laughter then). Leno said it really helped him put the job-quest into perspective (at the time)...and he often quoted that comment after it was aired.

                    Tom Snyder was a class-act.
