I've printed the article and it's going into our travel files for future reference and diner-trips. The only diner we've been to is the Blue Benn Diner, in 2001. We couldn't get over all the specials posted on the walls of that small diner-- Couldn't imagine what the kitchen looked like! We went for lunch there near the end of an 8-day New England road trip and I remember Mr. D-L had a Mexican dish for lunch-- can't remember what I had, but I enjoyed delicious Indian pudding for dessert. Since we live in PA, we'll have to make the pilgrimage to the Dutch Kitchen in Frackville.

I have been to four out of the ten. I remember liking them all. Blue Benn Diner, Bennington, Vermont Dutch Kitchen ,Frackville, Pennsylvania Summerton Diner, Summerton, South Carolina Becky's Diner, Portland, Maine My son-in-law and daughter never miss stopping at the Dutch Kitchen on their way to visit us and then again on their going back home.

I've been to both Goody-Goody and Mickey's. Goody here in StL has better biscuits and breakfast meat; Mickey's has excellent pancakes. Either one has an overall great diner breakfast!

The only one I have been to is Mickey's Dining Car in St. Paul. I like their skinny cheeseburgers, hash browns and mulligan stew. Very classy place in appearance. Paul E. Smith Knoxville, TN

Frankly, I was shocked by the omission of any New York diners. As for myself, I size up a diner by walking in and eyeballing the pie case. You can tell in a second whether it's worth staying for. My two cents.

Any list of diners that omits Moody's (Waldoboro ME) isn't worth your attention.

How ironic that I live in Vermont with 1/5th of the list, and I have only visited the diner in Maine...must get right to it...
