Tops Drive In

Home of the Teen Twist, anyone remember tham, there was one in Bethesda, Md., great place to cruise chicks, when Hot Shoppes opened down the street, it put a hurting on them, but they had a lot of loyal teens ordering their fare...now they both are gone, easy to get into a fistfight at either place, LOL!

The Teen Twist was the Hot Shoppes ham & cheese sandwich. Tops had a similar one but I can't recall the name. Their burger was The Topper.

    CTF,

Here's the early Tops menu (p6) and some history:

You probably remembered steak because their burger was called the Sirloiner. It was the Topper in a platter.
I think they were sponsors for the Milt Grant show on channel 5.

    Good memories.
