Yeah, we had one hit about 2 miles away...took out a barn and over 200 trees and fences etc. No house damage, or injuries reported. There were 5 reported in the Metro Louisville area, all EF-1's Several Semi-s flipped over on one of the Louisville Freeways, messing up traffic, but no serious injuries there either.

Glad to hear no one was seriously hurt, but I hate to see tornadoes cranking up THIS early in the year! Stay safe.

Ann, We had some rather intense thunderstorms and strong winds. There were several (the count is now 9) "small" tornados in the storm-front. They touched down within 40 miles or so of Louisville, including the one that Don mentioned in Madison. I'll bet the guy who parked that big twin engined airplane out in the open at the Madison Airport regrets it now. Apparently it was lifted several feet off the ground and then dropped, folding its landing gear back into the plane doing "a Lot" of damage !! Two touched down on our side of the river from Louisville. The guy who grows the sweet corn we 'put-up' each year lost a Barn and a bunch of trees on his farm (about 2 miles from us). The worst damage was on the NE side of Louisville where a Tennis club lost about half of the building housing it's indoor courts. Again luckily no serious injuries have been reported.

I was driving from Bloomington, IN to Cincinnati at that time but didn't see anything.
