Imagine the fun -- and the gastronomic challenge -- if there were to be an article like this one about the eats to be found in every major American city!
Such a spread on Atlanta would probably include 75 places or foods that I've never heard of, 20 I know about but have never tried, and 5 I already have sampled.

I don't even live in Toronto (about 70 miles southwest) and I was surprised at how many of these I have tried over the years. I can personally vouch for 28 of them and can highly recommend most of those (although they lean disproportionately towards sweets.) There are other treasures not mentioned in the article and many of the items (of equally high quality) are available in other locations in the city.

Your best bet is to hit one of the markets such as St. Lawrence or Kensington or visit one of the ethnic nehbourhoods (e.g. Roncesvalles Village if you like Polish food and the Gerrard India Bazaar if you are into Indian/Southwest Asian food) and just "go nuts".
