Trailer or Cart Sun, 05/8/05 12:43 PM (permalink)
I posted this a another time and it was removed for some reason.I am wanting to know if there was a concession trailer on one corner and a hot dog cart on the other corner offering the same menu, would you buy from the cart or from the Concession trailer?

Anyone have some thoughts on this? I am just trying to decide if I should buy a concession trailer or not.

Ohman, trailer or cart, wouldn't matter to me. I'd try the dogs from both and the man who has the best tasting dogs WINS! That's who I go to in the future...cart or trailer.

Whoever looked the cleanest and most professional is the one I would try first.I don't think it matters as much to the customer,as it does to the operator, whether it is a cart or trailer.I would go back a second time to the operator with the best hotdog.Remember the old saying in the concession business"Flash is cash!".I would personally buy the nicest flashiest concession trailer you could afford, and if you cannot afford a concesssion trailer, buy the nicest cart you can afford.First impression means a lot.I have passed hot dog stands for years that have been around for along time, but have never stopped because they looked dirty and run down.I will always stop for a nice clean set up to try them out(if they sell a quality name brand dog,I always ask before I order. If they sell some cheap off brand dog ,I usually pass, and just buy a drink)Lifes too short to eat cheap nasty hotdogs!
