Trauth Snow Cream

From the Cincy dairy. Has anyone tried this? I bought a fake half-gallon the other day (2 for $6 at ValueMarket for you Louisvillains) (curses to whoever invented the 56oz half gallon, but that's another topic). Anyhoo, it's good in a strange way. More or less what you'd get if you mixed up snow with whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla sort of like the ancient Romans did. In my freezer it's a lot harder than regular ice cream and goes pretty much from rock hard to completely liquid, so it doesn't really mix with fruit. Anybody else buy this?

Ancient Romans? we used to make it in KC when I was a kid. I'm old but not ancient.

I tried it at Bigg's when they were offering free samples. Didn't care for it much, reminded me of a vanilla sno-cone, more ice than ice cream.
