Trying to find a chip I used to eat as a kid?? Thu, 05/26/05 2:31 PM (permalink)
Hi all, just joined. I was from Massachusettes and there was this chip I would say in the early to late 60's, sometime in the 60's anyway... there was this chip called "Chip-Nics". Forgot who made them, a brand name now doesn't ring a bell and they were in a box and then there was a foil type bag inside the box from what I remember.

Now the remind me a little of "Muncho's" but were a little bigger and had bigger air holes. They were really crispy and I think pretty oily but damn were they good. Anyone remember those and who made them? Thanks all.

I did a search and found this thread here on Roadfood from 2003. Not sure anything conclusive came of it, but maybe it'd be of some help:
