Turkey Run State Park in western Indiana

 I live a few blocks from 41, and the school where I work is located on 41.  Let your fellow Roadfoodies know when your book is finished, I would love to read it.

Very nice photography of some stunning scenery!  Reminds me a lot of Shawnee National Forest down in southern Illinois.  The advantage to visiting Shawnee is that it is surrounded by top notch southern style Barbecue joints in all the small towns ringing the area.  Definitely a trip I think you'd enjoy.

Many thanks, Buddy. I love this kind of scenery, so I guess I'm gonna have to make one of my one day roadtrips down to Shawnee National Forest before all of the green leaves disappear. I've read on the Internet about a few barbecue places in that area ( Murphysboro and Mt. Vernon, if I remember correctly ) that sound really good, so I'll be sure to sample at least one of those places.

Here's where the real fun starts. At one point on this particular trail, there's a canyon so narrow that there's no room for a stairway. Instead, there's a series of wooden ladders that one must climb in order to continue.  

Eventually the trail arrives back at Sugar Creek, but it's still a long way back to the suspension bridge.
