"Two Bite" Tarts Thu, 10/20/05 10:39 AM (permalink)
The fresh bakery section of my local store carries these little "Two Bite" tarts in lemon or raspberry. They are made in Canada. I don't know if the store just thaws them or if they are baked from frozen in the store. They could just be shipped in fresh, but they have a limited shelf life, so I doubt it. I have seen them but never bought them because I am trying to limit carbs, but I bought 2 paks the other day for a family function. They are very, very good. If you see a dozen little 2 inch tarts in a clear plastic box, with the 2 bite brand, I suggest that you try some.

I say it was a set up...too good to be true

But...that same brand makes brownie bites that are REALLY good - someone brought them to our last BBQ and they were gone in a second.

Now I just will have to buy them again just to check what they are really called.

I reall think they are called "Two Bite" - if I remember correctly. I think she said she got them in Pathmark - and someone else said they had them in Costco. If the lemon were as good as the brownies I can't wait to try them! Thanks for the tip!

I've seen these too and they are called two bites. I've seen the brownie, lemon, and raspberry ones, but I have also seen pecan "two bites" also. My mom makes something similar to them but they are called nut cups. They are so good its hard to eat only a couple and they are much better than the ones you buy in the store. Thanksgiving is around the corner and I'm hoping she'll make a batch or two.

I went back and checked. They may BE tartletts, but they are called TARTS on the package. They also now make a little coffecake/cupcake too, but I have not tried that yet.
