UFC, Ultimate Fighting (for sure) Championship (I think). A bunch of guys beating the crap out of each others that they want you to pay 40 bucks or so to watch. MikeS.

I watch UFC but not the PPV. Pro boxing is pretty boring these days and I think UFC matches are pretty good but I fear they will have a "Du Ku Kim" type of situation someday and kill the sport before it has the chance to become as popular as boxing.

My grandson is a fan, but he doesn't get PPV in Korea. He is, however, planning on a career in MMA. He's on the 8th Army Taekwando team, and he's training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and Muay Thai. I've been watching some on SPIKE TV, but I've not seen it on PPV.

You can get video of the fights on youtube if the UFC hasn't pulled them down yet. So you don't need to order the 40 dollar ppv to see the matches. btw, at the most recent ppv(Saturday night) the biggest underdog in the history of the sport knocked out the champ in 3:25 of the first round. He was a 10-1 underdog. Some people lost a lot of money that night and some won huge.

We used to get together for UFC when it first started. Back in the good ol Mike Tyson days. $29.95 for a 45 second fight. How nice. I remember watching Gracie...(Hoyce was it?) Beat a guy while he had Gracie held upside down and was slamming his head into the mat. That guy was a thing of beauty. This was when they would bring out a 300 lb Sumo wrestler and have him fight a 180 lb karate stylist. Fun, fun, fun. Haven't sprung for UFC in years. Maybe one of these days.

I remember reading about Hoyce Gracie some years ago in Parade Magazine, The article was titled" Toughest Man in the world" Seems his entire Clan have developed thei own form of Brazilian JuJitsu, and are virtually impossible to beat! Good guy to be friends with!!

I used to be a huge fan of UFC, as I practiced for many years ... but I kinda got away from watching particularly after they changed the rules, and required participants to wear protective equipment (gloves). I enjoyed it much more for the variety of syles rather than for the "WWF" type content. I have not been a pro wrestling fan since Dick The Bruiser, Bobo Brazil, The Sheik and Haystacks Calhoun were around and actually I absolutely can't stand modern wwf style "wrestling" ... shootfighting? fine! ... but "pro" wrestling - keep it.
