UFO Over Hollywood / Los Angeles 8-28-2010

No Footage!!!

Me and my girlfriend were driving down Riverside Dr. in sherman oaks, Ca @ 9:20pm and she pointed out these lights in the sky over the hill, south of us, which would have been over los angeles. the lights were spinning fast, and the angle that they were at was like a slanted angle. at first the lights looked like it was going away, then it started getting closer and did a crazy turn to the west. the lights were spinning very fast. and it looked as if there was several rows of lights. like a scrolling marquee.

there was a red light flashing with the object that i saw when i stopped the car in the middle of the street to look. it kinda looked like a helicopters red light flashing, like a beacon, i am not sure. usually i see that light on regular flying aircrafts. but this thing had lights, rows of lights, at this wierd slanted angle and the lights were rolling.

the object, like i said, at first was going away from us, heading south, then it came back over the hill and it looked like it started following the 101 freeway westward.

i went home to get my camera and tried to find it but it was gone. i couldnt see it anywhere. i drove all the way to santa monica beach to se if i can catch it again. there had to have been people that saw these lights. it was a crazy, round object with lights all around it, rotating lights. i swear i wouldve thought it was a movie being filmed for a space ship.

Probably a Police Helo following Paris Hilton.

  Similar lights have been spotted over central Arizona, Nevada, and Utah over the last few years. My mom witnesses the same phenomenon that you described in 2003 in Wickenburg AZ.

   I think it is experimental aircraft from several Government bases in the southwest including Groom Lake.

You are describing the rotor blades of a helicopter reflecting ground lights. The red beacon light and the maneuvers of the aircraft all spell helicopter. However, any thing you see in the sky that you cannot identify is, by definition, an "unidentified flying object" and remains so for you  until it is identified by you.
 
A lot of years ago, in December,  we left our hotel on a NC beach to take a moonlight walk on the beach. We were shocked to see a triangular object with flickering lights and making a slight rustling sound pass over us. We had seen a "UFO"! After proceeding down the beach for a half mile or so we turned and walked back toward our hotel. This new angle revealed to us that the "UFO" was nothing more than flights of waterfowl flying in  from the sea with their underwings reflecting the hotel's lights.

Whenever a blimp is in the Chicago area we generally see it because they dock at the nearby DuPage Airport. One of the blimps a few years ago was done up like Shamu the Sea World whale and put on a light show. The lights flashed and traveled around the circumference as well as from front to back. There was a whole series of displays that spelled out words or pictures as well as just flashed. Blimps move in an erratic manner and change elevation depending on the winds.  Maybe you saw something like this?

It was flying over LA during August with it's marquis lights playing.

I have it on excellent authority is was just Michael Moore on a high.

I heard a pretty convincing story when I was in college.  But that was the '70's, so the storyteller may have had some pharmacutical help in viewing what he described to me.

I was strongly advised by some men in black not to talk anymore about what I saw. Oh, I meant... what I didn't see. :~#

what is this suppose to mean? did you not read my first post? i saw a UFO over los angeles. there were confirmed reports of it from other people, including a radio dj who talked about it on his time slot on the air.
