UNWANTED EMAILS Wed, 11/1/06 7:40 PM (permalink)
i have a problem-- today i received 3 emails-- all from the same person (unfortunately i blocked them and deleted them so i don't have a screen name, but) they were emails that i thought were private messages as i've received in the past from members. these were NOT. they were emials inviting me to get involved in some sort of money making scheme. we checked it out and it is very similar to the nigerian scheme- please be very careful when responding to these emails.
my question is-- is there anyway to stop these from coming from here? i know how to block them through my email program but was just wondering if anyone else had received any and what - if anything- there was to do here.
thanks and be careful :)

Same thing here, we got one last time I checked. You are right as it is of the same type of overseas BS.

Yeah, I had a customer call me Monday morning all excited wanting a price on a bunch of my product to resell to a guy in Nigeria. I couldn’t convince him on the phone that it was a scam, so I did send a price along with links to how these scams work. Luckily he believed the links I sent.
